Registration Rules PLEASE READ !!!!

1.   please fill out your profile so that others know who you are, where you are located and what type of equipment you are working with. This really helps those of us who want to duplicate your efforts. When I look at your profile, I can tell if I should even attempt this shot at all. There is also a place on the profile where you can fill out your website address so this is a nice way to get traffic back to your site. We encourage using this feature.

2. The basic idea of this site is to have a place to load up your entire astrophoto collection. However, it would be unkind to upload them all at once. New members please take a few photos a week and upload them into your galleries. If you load up 35 photos at once , then it has the effect of making every photo on the front page yours. and then somebody who spent 5 hours taking that prize photo gets rolled off the main page and never gets viewed again by some users. So for this reason please do not upload more than 5 images at a time. just use your own judgment and do what you would want done to you.

3.  Test images. I have seen a few of these in the past. I don't personally mind test images, just keep it real and don't upload a ton of them. If you do I will hide them so they don't clutter the main page. No offense to anyone here, its just not fair to someone who spent 5 hours taking one photo to have it pushed off the site by a dozen short test images.personal images, Equipment images, same rules. Just be considerate.

4. Comments, dont be afraid to leave constructive comments to help out beginners. just be kind and try to be generally helpful.

5. Redoing an image, when you reprocess an image, please either replace the old one or wait a little while before posting again. Just like above its unkind to flood the site with 5 renditions of one image all at one time.

6. Bogus user accounts such as testuser will be deleted immediately. to prevent accidently getting deleted , fill out your profile.

7.Religion and Politics are Taboo subjects. please refrain from any comments or messages on these subjects. We prefer to just concentrate on astrophotography and anything related to that. Thanks for your support.
