Description: First light with M10"SCT and HyperTuned Atlas Mount I now know that I need to use the SPC900 at no more than 10fps for better IQ. And next time I will stay up late enough to try it with a barlow..this was still taken at only ~35deg..

Description: This is my first ever try at M16...UNfortunately I was way off on my framing..I was getting eatin alive by Skeetes,and my laptop has a 10" screen making it an interesting task to center an object. I am pretty happy with the amount of data though.Just wish I would have taken 5 more minutes to properly center it. This will probably be useless later on due to being off center.When I get my new cam,Artemis285,I should have been able to add to this data without too much hassle...oh,well..it is only 45min of expoure time,not hours.. Image captured and pre-processed in Maxim DL5 Pro Suite.Finished off in PS-CS2.

Description: All this stuff is new(to me:^) CGE w/upgraded RA & DEC cables.GPS.Cassidy Tip-In Saddle,15lb SS CW Apogee 106mm F/6.2 Achro William Optics 66SD(this was bought new over a year ago) Starlight Express HX916 Orion SSII Mono DSI Atik Manual FW Astronomik LRGBHOS Filter set,1.25" I sold all of my old equipment recently to fund this upgrade...so far,I am EXTREMELY happy with EVERYthing.The Apogee had a SLOPPY focuser,but after a couple of paper shims..perfect. I also have a 10"F/4.7Newt (Celestron/Synta) out at a friends place getting a new Carbon Fiber tube made for it!!! Cant wait to use it again on the new CGE..which will handle it better than my ol' CI-700! Thanks

Description: This came out pretty good(IMO) for the small amount of time I was actually able to put into it..and the SMALL aperture I was using :^) Preprocessed in Maxim DL5,everything else in PS CS2 Oh yeah,this was my FIRST galaxy!!!!woohoo! lol Cheers!!

Description: This is a reprocess of my original data.I tried to get a better color balance and blacken the BG as my other version is quite blue... I like this version better,on account of its "normal color balance",but do not like the gradient that came with the color balance...oh well,I will leave it for now.....for now :^D

Description: This was imaged over 5 nights. It is a composit of: Ha: 18x15min RGB: 10x10sec.,18x40sec.,51x6min,10x10min I processed all image groups seperatly in PS-CS2 after initial stacking in DSS.I did this kinda differently..instead of using the 10min subs for the really deep stuff,I used the 51x6min for the really faint stuff and used the 10x10min subs for a nice smooth outer neb/running man. I spent about 6hrs processing this as it was my first attempt at HaRGB with a DSLR...quite interesting.A little different from my ST402. Anyways,not sure if the color and levels are right as I can only process on my laptop right now...Let me know what you guys think.Anything you would change? Thanks, Brent

Description: This is my first light for the modded Nikon D40x. It is just a hair out of focus...but hey,I still got something worth posting(I think.. :P ). I am used to my ST402's cmall FOV so I did not drift align the mount,just used the polar scope so there is a small amount of field rotation....but beside all of that :^) I still have an image for my gallery!!! This was captured doing Mode 3.ISO800.RAW. With my(new best friend :^) Astronomik 13nm Ha I managed 9x15min and 1x8:37(battery died on cam..) 4x15min darks 10 bias 0 flats Orion ED80 @ F/6 w/.8-WOvII FR/FF ASGT-Autoguided w/66SD and DSIpro Pre-Processed with DSS. All post-processing done in PS CS2 Clear skies!!! Brent

Description: First ever HaRGB image(actually my first LRGB ever) with the ST-402. I messed with the processing for hours and finally came up with a blen I liked: I blended the Ha into both the G and R channels(varrying opacities),I also used the Ha as the Luminance layer(obviously). The ONLY thing I dont like,and may reprocess later bacuse of it,is the colored Halos on the brighter stars. I am very happy with the way it turned out.Just took me awhile and ALOT of reading and watching mapping tutorials... If I dont close CS2 I will never stop processing this!!! :^) Anyways here is the info: Ha: 1hr(10min subs) 2hrs(15minute subs) 2x20min subs RGB(30.60.75minutes with 5min subs)

Description: Shot this last year and gave it a reprocess. I think it came out MUCH better than the other.I spent a lot more time on it this time. Unfortunately I do not still have the trap subs so I could not make a mask...but I still think it came out well!!! I want to thank Tonk for his help and advice with this image!

Description: This is a reprocess of my original M13,I was not happy with the way it turned out,so I gave it another go...tried to keep the blueish hue of the cluster while also "try" and pull out some of those great yellow stars as well... I think it is much more pleasing to look at!! Let me know if what you think.
